    Hello Butternut Bulldog Families,

    Welcome back! We hope that you have had a fun-filled summer and are looking forward to getting back to school.  I can’t wait to see all of you as we start another great school year! We are now AVID schoolwide, with grades K-6 participating in the AVID program supporting students for future success. Our staff remains commited to our Culture of Care, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all students. We are excited to welcome new staff members to our building and continuing what makes Butternut Creek Elementary such a wonderful place to be. 

    Below you will find helpful reminders and important dates to start the school year off with success.     Important Reminders:


    • Office hours 7:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.  Phone number: 503-844-1390.
    • School starts at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 2:05 p.m.  On Wednesdays, school ends at 1:35 p.m.
    • School doors open at 7:20 a.m. Supervision is not available prior to that. Please ensure your students do not arrive prior to 7:20 a.m. as that would be a safety concern.
    • Attendance – Every day counts! Each day your child is here is an opportunity for them to grow both academically and socially. Your student should have fewer than 9 days of absence during the school year to ensure school success! Attendance line (503) 844-1393.
